"Junk Drawer Euphoria" is a collection of songs constructed from harmonic fragments and melodic scraps that were initially processed as throw away material and filed away in to a certain sound bank in my mind. There were sonic pigments of old school country jazz that dripped like honey, and aural floral arrangements paired with poems of prospective love and wintertime lunacy in an age of satire that tiptoes on the egg shells of tragicomedy.
As the bits and pieces began to collage together, a certain motif began to resonate within this specific batch of songs. It felt like a sunshower; like an optimistic vantage point in a downpour of melancholia. A grayscale with an iridescent silver lining. The end result proved to harvest a batch of fruitful compositions full of vibrant flavors.
Many friends so kindly lent their time and talents to help create the DNA of this project and for that I'm extremely grateful.
